Christmas is time for family and friends.  Unfortunately some people find themselves alone at this time of year.  Don't spend Christmas Day alone - The Diamond Valley Uniting Church is organising a Christmas lunch on
Christmas Day for people who may be on their own or at a loose end at
this time of year.

If you would like to have a chat about coming or just to say “yes”
phone Diane on 9718 2035 or email: glenaben@bigpond.net.au,
or phone Ruth on 94381322.

There is no cost, everyone welcome and transport can be arranged.

                                    WORKING ZONE

Looking for employment can sometimes be a long and demoralising task, especially for young people lacking that vital work experience that employers often look for.

Sometimes, just getting an interview can be difficult which is why making a good first impression is absolutely vital.  The first contact most job seekers will have with an employer is via their resume.  This makes having a well laid out and informative resume all the more important.

That’s why I’ve put together the attached ‘Working Zone’ pamphlet, with some handy hints and web links on beefing up your resume and cover letter to give you an edge in your job applications.

‘Working Zone’ guides you through each step of job hunting – from writing a cover letter to preparing for an interview.  The more prepared you can be, the better your chances of being successful.

Once you’ve written your resume and cover letter, feel free to contact my office and we’ll run off a few copies of them for you.  Just ring 9439 1500 or drop into my office at 718 Main Road, Eltham.

Of course, if there is anything else I can assist you with, just let me know.  I’m here to help!
